Katy Perry made music making process a family affair, thanks to an adorable supporter.
In a conversation with Audacitythe former American Idol judge spilled beans on how she made her new album, 143and whether she ever sought suggestions and feedback from family.
“They’ve had enough of me. I mean, they’re fine, but like…my family, they’re telling me to move or take the trash out,” Perry, 39, quipped.
“They’re sick of it. It’s family, they’re just going to be real. I don’t do a listening party,” she admitted not playing her full album to them.
However, she shared that she can turn to one adorable family member for support: her stepson.

“He loved Never Really Over,” she recalled her 2019 song. “I played that to him before it came out and I was like, ‘What do you think?’ And he’s like, ‘Yeah, this is good.'”
“He’s got good taste. He loves this song called.” All the Lovewhich is on 143. And that’s like one of my favorite songs that I wrote,” the Video Vanguard Award recipient added.
